#1562-Question

No shortage of answers,

In today’s world.

Read that book.

Ask the expert.

Google it!

But nothing satisfies.

Just empty words,

Echoing inside trapped minds.

Grappling fingers,

Reaching for invisible ledges,

Afraid of falling,

Into an abyss,

Where only questions reside.

Time for whiskey and smokes,

To fill invisible holes,

Until tomorrow,

When perhaps,

Answers will arrive.

As eyes close,

Darkness climbs,

Head begins to spin,

While doubts arise,

And hope fades,

For an answer,

That will never arrive.
