When it’s time to leave,
Let the world be
Yellow, orange, and red.
With sparkles of green,
For happy days,
And shades of grey,
For endless tears shed.
Let it be cloudy,
For the sun burns.
Leaves on the ground.
Memories in the clouds.
Silent, unspoken words,
Waiting to be sung.
Let ashes lie around,
In utter stillness,
Without a sound.
Leaves, then promises,
Will slowly fade.
And we’ll melt,
Unknowingly,
Into that special place,
From where we came.
