#1586-Cocktails

Today,
The same stories
Seem to be sung.
Often dull, repetitious,
Depressing, hard.
Colors fade,
As stories end,
In noise and farce.
Meanwhile, confusion
Mingles with doubt.
A new cocktail,
Iced with questions,
And qualms.
Perhaps it’s best now,
To lay back,
Sip some wine,
Listen to Bach, and
Recall old stories,
That never get dark.
