In a cage,
Before even born.
Finding oneself trapped,
Far from a home.
Circumstances dictate,
We do not choose.
So when the sun rises, and
The earth smells fresh,
Let’s be thankful,
For there are many,
Who cannot freely breathe,
Even in their home.
