#52 – Distance

There is a tall palm tree that we pass by on our morning walks. It’s not far from my parent’s house. My mother usually listens to the news, as Susanne and I casually talk. Our route is the same every day – we follow a path that seems to be my mother’s favorite. It takes about fifty minutes and time flies by. Back home, we relax, enjoy a cup of coffee with a slice of mum’s cake and wait for dad to come back from his walk. He prefers to go alone…

Today is the last day of our visit.

Tomorrow, we’ll walk with mum in spirit,

Knowing that soon,

We’ll be back,

Walking past our palm tree,

And later, waiting for dad…
