#1917-Glamor

In younger days,

I craved the limelight.

To brightly glow,

And in shallow waters flow.

Yet it was tiring.

Not fully satisfying.

Then, as years passed,

Answers began to arrive.

Now I better know,

What to seek,

To find my peace.

For what I pursued,

Wasn’t buried deep,

In age-old books,

Or concealed within,

Someone’s friendly words.

It always dwelled within,

Where tranquility lies,

By the wayside.
