#97-Timeless

There’s an old clock,

Next to a farm hut,

In my countryside.

Leaning against a wall,

Watching seasons change,

And people age.

The hands no longer move,

They’ve been asleep,

As long as I know, and

No wind or storm

Has moved it

From it’s home…

– – – – – –

Silent tick-tocks

Whispered in the breeze,

That only now,

I can feel:

One day,

I too will be still,

Serving a purpose,

I’ll no longer see.

So… I need to believe…
