#1270-Not elsewhere

A cold winter day.

Snowflakes silently falling.

A gentle, unseen breeze,

Helps a few flakes rebel.

Changing direction,

To float up, in revolt.

Strange, how nature’s revolution

Is beautiful, and accepted.

The breeze changes direction,

Blowing snowflakes inside.

The slightly open window

Doesn’t mind.

She stays open,

With a coy, unseen smile.

And all the while,

Cold, frustrated fingertips

Bang on a keyboard,

Unable to keep pace,

With thoughts and emotions.

But it doesn’t matter.

It’s one of those days,

When everything’s perfect.
