#1563-Hoffnung

Exact.

Symmetrical.

Perfectly measured,

Painted, written, colored.

But life,

Is different.

Taught perfection,

Accentuated out of ignorance.

Swallowed words,

For sake of appearance.

Inadequacy,

In other’s eyes,

When reality,

Is powerful enough,

To destroy dams.

Cataracts come with age.

So does wisdom,

To see life,

With a different lens.

Maybe one day,

Youth will awaken,

Unburdened of a past,

Or expectations,

To just be.
