#173-Mum and Dad

I like getting old,

Living in a village,

The countryside close.

A grocery store,

Few shops,

Some houses, and

Nothing more.

Sprawling cities,

They leave me lost,

Looking for a hand to hold,

And help me along.

In youth I loved cities like this,

Thriving in bustling crowds,

Dreaming of a future to come.

Today I visit to be by their side,

Smiling together at the past,

Grateful for the days we still have.
