It’s difficult to understand,

That even today,

We continue to fight.

As if we’ve learned nothing,

In all this time.

Despite all the progress,

That makes for a better life,

Human mentality,

Feels stuck in a distant past.

Some simple things,

Are hard to fathom

In these modern times,

As history continues to repeat,

Like it did in year’s past.
