#1789-Innocence

In childhood,

Everything looked big.

I used to look up in awe,

As people walked about.

It felt intimidating,

Yet also safe.

For those friendly giants,

Ruled my earth.

Now I too have grown.

Shedding old skin,

For different clothes.

Still, I can never forget,

That every now and then,

A child does look my way.

And I need to recall,

What the world looked like,

From that far down.
