#1801-Full

Sometimes I need to listen,

Without knowing why.

Warm, sunny days,

When I wake with a smile,

But it ends up raining,

Unexpectedly,

Under clear blue skies.

Then I realize,

They’re not my clouds,

But those I’ve welcomed,

With open arms.

So I listen.

And it feels right.

From cloud to cloud,

Without questioning why.

Then evening arrives,

And I feel empty,

But also alive.

So I close my eyes,

And pretend to be a dog,

Eyeing a duck,

Floating on a cool lake,

Under a hot sun.

Pretty good way,

To end the day,

Daydreaming,

Others’ worries away.
