It’s hard to tell,

The nature of things,

When disguised.

Camouflaging oneself,

Is a tiring, fruitless,

Never-ending task.

It is easier to live,

Be open, and not hide.

But it takes courage,

Learning, and time.

Like this lesson,

That arrived late in life.
