Growing up,

I was taught to climb.

Stairs, trees, mountains,

Even the corporate ladder.

The hardest was the latter.

For not only,

Did I have to climb,

But eventually re-learn,

Forgotten and neglected,

Aspects of life.

Though I have no regrets,

A course in life-lessons,

During those university years,

Would have served me better,

Than mathematics, physics,

Or even linguistics.
