#1938-Awe

Towering and grand,

Camouflaged elegantly,

Sparking feelings of hesitancy.

Yet it’s just a building,

With empty rooms,

Halls, and cold walls.

No different than those,

I’ve met along the way,

Who filled the room,

With arrogance and air,

When deep inside,

I knew it was all an act,

To coyly distract,

From the emptiness,

Running rampant inside.

Back then, I didn’t believe.

Today, life is easier to see.
