#2189-Drawers
Obligations,
Tend to wear on me,
Even though I know,
This is how life flows.
But lately,
With patience and time,
I’ve coached my mind,
To at times,
Look at life,
Through different eyes.
Now I try to see each day,
Hidden, in an old-fashioned,
Chest of drawers.
What often arrives,
Is not a surprise.
But on special days,
When hidden gems,
Are willing to be discovered,
Feelings of humility, and
Gratitude wash over me.
For wonders,
Continue to appear,
Despite hesitancies,
That I still seem to carry,
Perhaps out of fear.
