#230-Averting eyes
Strolling around town,
People milling about,
But he’s oblivious to it all,
Just wanting to scream,
To drown the pain pounding within.
But he can’t.
Strangers will stare,
Then look away,
Avoiding a gaze that may burn.
So he stares at the ground,
Hiding eyes colored by mist,
Swallowing every single scream.
Blood scorching through his veins,
A heaving, burning chest,
That exhales hurt with every breath,
So hard to bear.
But now he knows,
How it feels to silently explode.
Everyone is busy,
It’s just another day,
Why should anyone care,
For someone else’s pain?
