#2404-Certainty
At some points in life,
Hearts need patching up.
I recall those long-ago,
Bittersweet days,
As if it were yesterday.
I wonder if I too looked,
Broken and banged up.
Still I moved ahead,
Teary and patched up,
Without looking back.
I sometimes ponder,
What it would be like,
Had my father’s words,
Not echoed in my mind:
When a glass vase falls,
And develops cracks,
It can come undone,
At most any time.
Do you really want,
To live like that?
