#2457-Landmark

In earlier times,

I often watched him,

Walking down the street,

With a baseball cap,

Head gently bent,

Cane in hand.

Now he’s moved on.

With only memories,

Gently drifting around.

Those moments are with me,

Wherever I go,

Especially past those trees,

Now leafless and grown.
