#2825-Abundance
Today I’d like to be,
A bright shining lamp,
Lighting the way,
For those walking by.
Now in society,
I no longer roam,
In search of dreams,
On every corner sold.
It was those bargains,
I simply thought,
Where happiness waited,
To readily be bought.
Those were the curves,
In the road I chose,
Where life-lessons,
For free were sold.
Now looking back,
I can see,
Were it not for those,
Hollow pointless dreams,
I’d still be searching,
For a pot of gold,
To carry on my shoulders,
Wherever I go.
