#311-Darkness

Sunrise,

Tranquility,

And dreams awakening,

From a short night’s sleep.

Reflecting in nature,

Dancing with the breeze,

Imagining what may be.

Yet as daylight fades,

Shadows emerge,

Gently stretching out,

Until darkness descends.

It’s when I pray

For hope to remain,

Keeping troubled memories at bay.

For they like to appear,

In the dead of night,

When I’m too tired to sleep,

Or fight.

But they eventually pass,

Like the hours of the night.

And with daylight,

Serenity and dreams return,

So we can dance together again.
