#405-Simplicity

Sometimes,

What we seek,

Is in front of our eyes,

Waiting.

Searching in a haze,

Unable to hear silence,

Blind,

To a shining sun,

Or her,

Within reach,

Momentarily.

Today I see all of you.

Veins,

Brown edges,

A short stem,

Silent words,

Whispered on a dirty sidewalk,

Outside my door.

Today,

I’d pick you up gently,

And ask:

Would you…?
