#579-Devoid

May not seem so,

But spring’s still far away.

Yet dried leaves linger.

Waiting.

By empty tracks.

Calling for life.

Like me for you.

Starving for a touch.

Or the pitter-patter,

Of the beating heart,

I knew so well.

Wish you’d call.

But you don’t.

I’ll wait.

With the leaves,

Stones,

Empty tracks,

Passing days,

Me.
