#604-Emptiness

What if…

Children were running everywhere.

Parents happily watching.

Grandparents sitting,

Smiling,

Holding hands.

But it’s not so.

The park’s empty.

Lifeless.

Like those grey days,

When I wake up,

To pounding raindrops,

Dreading getting out of bed, and

Wanting time to vanish,

Until the sun rises again.

In me.
