There were days,
When I too dangled my feet,
Felt the rush,…

A barred window.
Small.
Street level….

Lost among the trees.
Climbing the mountains. …

A small piece of land.
Rocks.
Arid land….

I was there.
Saw the waves,
Embrace her feet,
As she knelt,
In a world far away.
I envy the waves.
Caressing her,
Again and again.
In my mind,
I’m the water.
Flowing over her,
Momentarily.
Retreating.
Coming back.
Playing hide and seek.
Knowing,
She’ll soon leave.
Me?
I’ll flow,
Over the same grains of sand.
Washing away footprints….

Even “She” gets angry,
Red,
Fed up. …

“Keep them away.”
What are you afraid of?
You’ve lived….

Beautiful shades of color.
Harmonious.
Blending….

Jagged edges protrude.
But I meander,
Trying to find a way….

Wrapped around you.
Intertwined.
Holding tight. …

You must love me!
Really?
You’re holding me….

A fake smile.
Hollow,
Inviting eyes….

Submerged,
Drifting,
Without direction….
