Cool and breezy.
Summer’s waning days.
Flying fish,
Stare into the wind,
Bringing smiles,
To passersby.
The lighthouse is empty.
Soon it’ll be dark.
Lights will turn on.
One by one.
Onlookers will melt away.
But I’ll linger on,
Watching the skyline.
Thoughts and crashing waves,
Accompanying me,
Through the best moments,
Of the day.
Like so many yesterdays.
