Today is sunny,

Yet I feel flat.

No energy,

To even look outside.

But responsibilities call,

As I’m knee deep,

Stuck in muddy thoughts.

And even though I know,

That burying myself,

In today’s tasks,

Alleviates that,

Which I cannot grasp,

Parts of me refuse,

To leave this ledge,

And let the day flow.
