#1105-Dams

Distant sunsets,

When life was simpler…

Once upon a time,

When one circle,

Was praying to close.

I could hear,

But belief,

Refused to listen.

The path was obvious.

Intellectually thought through.

Meticulously planned.

Solid and unwavering.

Like childhood beliefs.

Then life arrived.

Answers disappeared.

Intellect ran away to hide.

Unexpectations emerged.

And dams that didn’t exist,

Felt free to surrender, and

Crumble.
