Together.
Fenced in by mountains.
Unable to see,
Or feel my skin.
Suffocating emotionally.
Why is it so hard to breathe?
Flashing thoughts.
Seconds pass.
Stop.
Windows down.
Engine off.
Momentary silence.
Cars drive by.
Raindrops fall.
Why so loud?
Arm getting wet.
Don’t care.
Trapped in a valley,
Devoid of horizons.
Must drive on,
Search for space,
Breathe.
But my dear,
She’s by your side.
