Today,
I feel alone,
With no one around,
To point the way home.
But it’s a fleeting thought,
For I too could be king,
Sitting on a throne,
Somewhere by the sea.
Or perhaps a pilgrim,
Walking away from society,
In search of tranquility,
As those close by,
Stare out, strangely.
Perspectives change,
When one finally believes,
That reflected in the mirror,
Is the one who judges,
Blames, or feels.
