Today,
Fred ventured outside.
Vigilant, ear bent,
Wind-blown ribbon,
Around his neck.
He was a brave fellow.
Keeping us company,
Without a care,
In our little world.
He is family now,
Bringing us daily joy,
Even as a silent,
Stuffed little toy.
