#22 – Nature

There is something comforting,
About living in a city.
People all around,
One never feels secluded.
Growing up I was attracted by its glamor,
But as I age
It’s the sense of security, and
Ease of living that appeals.
Still, there are days when something
Feels missing.
A horizon blocked by buildings, and
Sunsets only partially seen.
So when my soul craves nature,
I know time is at hand to leave.
I always come back though.
Those I love live in the city…
