#31 – Washing away

A late summer storm approaches,
To wash away the day’s memories,
Freshen,
Prepare for a new day.

Emotional storms are no different.
In their wake,
I feel calm, unburdened, and at times
Sense traces of a fading rainbow.
But as they approach,
Fear and anxiety cloud all I see,
Time appearing to stand still.

– – – – – –

Storms pass.
I just need to be patient, and
Conscious of the transformation,
That awaits.
