#383-Togetherness
18/08/2018
Days…
When we bathed outside.
Boiling water,
On an open fire.
Watching you undress.
Your body,
Beautiful,
Silk-like,
Milky white.
Years passed.
We toiled,
Side by side,
Wondering,
What tomorrow would bring.
Today,
I still watch you undress,
Step into that tub,
Lay back,
Hair pinned up,
Closing your eyes,
Exhaling.
The water ripples, and
I feel at home,
Knowing,
Every single wrinkle.
