#20 - Remembering

A country road,[br_tc] Rows of olives trees, and[br_tc] Tranquility.[br_tc] If you could be there like I was,[br_tc] You’d hear the birds,[br_tc] Feel the sun and the breeze,[br_tc] Breathe deeply,[br_tc] And perhaps relax,[br_tc] Under the shade of an old tree.[br_tc] Leaning against the trunk,[br_tc] Skin against skin[br_tc] The bark leaving imprints,[br_tc] Moments of togetherness.[br_tc] Maybe you’d gaze into the distance[br_tc] Letting thoughts wander[br_tc] As senses slowly drift:[br_tc] Ants milling about,[br_tc] Bees buzzing everywhere,[br_tc] Tiny growing olives, and[br_tc] Tingly feeling of butterflies inside,[br_tc] Like those I used to feel as a kid.[br_tc] Maybe…[br_tc] I was there,[br_tc] But the beauty and serenity feel different now.[br_tc] Today my body feels tired,[br_tc] My mind slower,[br_tc] But looking at this picture[br_tc] Brings back the calm, and belief:[br_tc] All is fine. All will be fine.[br_tc] It’s just another day,[br_tc] Along life’s path.[br_tc] It’s not always straight, calm or beautiful.[br_tc] But at the end,[br_tc] It is.[br_tc] And all I need do is just let it…
