#127-My village

A special village I know well in Catalonia is gradually getting smaller as the years pass. The younger generation migrating towards urban centers, the old slowly passing away. But the small town spirit where everyone knows each other still exists. Afternoon coffee at the local bar, old folks sitting outside the front doors watching cars drive by, farmers busy in nearby fields. When Christmas time approaches, they proudly decorate the streets with bright lamps. Even though few people venture outside after dark, the colored lights and decorations make the village feel warm and welcoming. It feels like home. I admire those who live there and their way of life. And I hope the special spirit that they share with the world never dies.
