#437-Stories
Our multi-functional old door. The mailman can deliver letters (we don’t accept bulky magazines, newspapers or packages.) There’s a round hole in one corner, so our cat can come and go as she likes. And if a stray mouse wanders inside, that’s fine too. The doorbell is weather-proof, works without electricity and has a nice sound. There’s a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, so if the house gets flooded, the water will gently flow into the street. I could write and write about its many advantages, but there’s no need to elaborate. Stories spanning decades are etched all over these old pieces of wood. One just has to spend a few minutes looking, without hurry.
